【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesgenericcablingthatsupportsawiderangeofcommunicationsservicesforusewithinofficepremises,orofficeareaswithinothertypesofpremises,thatcomprisesingleormultiplebuildingsonacampus.TherequirementsofthisstandardmaybeappliedtootherpremisesthatarenotexplicitlyspecifiedwithinotherpartsoftheEN50173seriesofstandards.Itcoversbalancedcablingandopticalfibrecabling.ThisEuropeanStandardisbaseduponandreferencestherequirementsofEN50173-1.ThisEuropeanStandardcontainsadditionalrequirementsthatareappropriatetoofficepremisesinwhichthemaximumdistanceoverwhichcommunicationsserviceshavetobedistributedis2000m.TheprinciplesofthisEuropeanStandardmayalsobeappliedtoinstallationsthatdonotfallwithinthisrange.InadditiontotherequirementsofEN50173-1,thisEuropeanStandardspecifies:a)anextendedstructureandconfigurationforgenericcablingwithinofficepremisesinsupportofawiderangeofservicesincludingvoice,data,text,imageandvideo;b)implementationoptions;Safety(electricalsafetyandprotection,opticalpower,fire,etc.)andelectromagneticcompatibility(EMC)requirementsareoutsidethescopeofthisEuropeanStandardandarecoveredbyotherstandardsandregulations.However,informationgiveninthisinternationalStandardmaybeofassistanceinmeetingthesestandardsandregulations.
