【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverspolyethylene(PE)pipethatisoutsidediametercontrolled,madeinSchedule40and80sizesforusewithsocket-typefittingsandbuttfittingsjoinedbyheatfusion,andpressure-ratedforwater(seeappendix).IncludedarecriteriaforclassifyingPEplasticpipematerialsandPEplasticpipe,asystemofnomenclatureforPEplasticpipe,andrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,sustainedpressure,burstpressure,andenvironmentalstresscracking.Requirementsformarkingarealsogiven.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoregardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
