【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofimageanalysistodeterminethelevelofdirtinpulp,paper,andpaperboardintermsofEquivalentBlackArea(EBA)ofdirtspeckswithinthephysicalarearangeof0.02to3.0mmreportedinpartspermillionaswellasthenumberofdirtspeckspersquaremeterofsample.Usingthealgorithmprescribedinthistestmethod,themaximumdirtsizeislimitedto3.0mm.Extentiontootherspecksizes(forexamplethosegreaterthan3.0mminphysicalarea),mayrequirechangesinequipment,calculationprocedures,orboth,andisnotcoveredinthistestmethod.Thistestmethodcannotbeusedforphysicalareameasurementssinceitdoesnotcorrectlymeasurethedirtspecksforthatmodeofmeasurement.Thespecimentobeevaluatedmusthaveabrightness,asdeterminedbyTestMethodD985,of30%orgreater.Itmaybenecessarytoreformsomepulpsheetsintohandsheetsifthesurfaceistooroughortextured.ThistestmethodisaninstrumentalequivalentofTestMethodD2019,TAPPIT437,andTAPPIT213,allthreeofwhichreporttheequivalentblackareaofdirtinpartspermillion,andTAPPIT537,whichreportsthenumberofspecksof0.02mmorlargerpersquaremeter.Thistestmethodcanbeimplementedusinganyimageanalysissystem,providedthatitmeetsthecriteriaspecifiedherein.
