【摘要】:Eddy-currentprobesmaybeusedforthenondestructiveexaminationofpartsorstructuresmadeofelectricallyconductingmaterials.Manyoftheseexaminationsareintendedtodiscovermaterialdefects,suchascracks,thatmaycausethepartorstructuretobeunsafeorunfitforservice.Eddy-currentprobesthatfailtomeettheperformancelevelrequirementsofthispracticeshallnotbeusedfortheexaminationofmaterialorhardwareunlesstheprobeisqualifiedbysomeothersystemoranagreementhasbeenreachedbytheprobemanufacturerandthepurchaser,orboth.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedurefordeterminingtheimpedanceofabsoluteeddy-currentprobes(bridge-type,airorferritecore,wirewound,shielded,orunshielded)usedforfindingmaterialdefectsinelectricallyconductingmaterial.Thispracticeisintendedtoestablishauniformtestmethodologytomeasuretheimpedanceofeddy-currentprobespriortoreceiptoftheseprobesbythepurchaserorthespecifier.1.2Limitations-Thispracticedoesnotaddressthecharacterizationormeasurementoftheimpedanceofdifferential,a-ccoupled,ortransmit/receivetypesofprobes.Thispracticedoesnotaddresstheuseofmagneticmaterialsintestingprobes.Thispracticeshallnotbeusedasabasisforselectionofthebestprobeforaparticularapplicationorasameansbywhichtocalibrateaprobeforaspecificexamination.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
